Meetup by Meetup is a social networking app that makes it easy and fast to find new friends located in your town.

If you're thinking it's time to expand your social circle but don't know where to start this app gives you a way to meet people located in your town who are also looking to make new friends.

Meeting up with new friends could mean a bookclub meeting, exercise related, a parenting playgroup, tech meetups, social fun meetups, dog meetups, hobby and tame meetups, entrepreneurship and business meetups, movie meetups, whatever you like. The app claims to have meetups built around everything and everywhere.

The app helps you find meetups that fit your interests by suggesting ones to you. You can browse interests by category (Photography, Parents, Outdoors, Entertainment, etc.) and check out the meetups happening near you. As well you can find meetups fast and easy and even move through them without losing your original place.

In your My Meetups section you'll find the events upcoming and past ones. Each event will show the title, the date and time, how many people are going, as well as any comments and photos.

Meetup was updated on Apr. 3, 2013 and currently has 23 customer ratings with an average rating of three and a half out of five stars.

I loved how practical this app was for someone who was new to town or even someone who had lived there a long time and was just looking to find friends with similar interests. The user-interface made finding meetups very easy and fast.
