I Know The Chef by Iknowthechef is a way to make reservations and set up VIP treatments at some of the most popular restaurants in New York City, NY.

This is a dining concierge program that is member based, giving members all kinds of fabulous features and access. You can set up such experiences as meet the Maitre D, dine like a VIP, book hard-to-get reservations, and even receive free dishes from the chef.

Features of this app include being treated like a regular client even if it's the very first time you're visiting the restaurant, reservations at some of the most popular restaurants today, complimentary items like a dessert/appetizer/or cocktail, VIP status, and seating preference in select locations.

You'll need to become a member to access all the cool features. After signing up you will then answer questions regarding your preference when it comes to dessert, alcohol, dietary restrictions, and table location. At the time of reservation all of this information is passed along to the restaurant.

You can also use the app to search for restaurants using such tags as Hot, New, and Michelin rated. There is a map and menu included for all restaurants that are pinned.

I Know The Chef was updated on Apr. 25, 2013 and currently has no customer ratings at the time of publishing.

This is a great way to experience restaurants that are new, that are hard to get reservations to, or even in a way you’ve never experienced before.
