'Where's My Water' Makes a Splash in True Disney Fashion

If there’s one thing Disney consistently incorporates into every product they pump out of their mouse-eared pipeline, it’s the cute factor. The melt-your-heart minds at the Magic Kingdom just can’t turn off the cute. They also have a knack for innovation. When it comes to mobile innovation, Disney is no stranger. They recently released a line of toys that interact with the iPad (read our story). So, it’s no surprise that their latest endeavor combines their technical prowess with their appetite for adorable.

Where’s My Water is the latest game from Disney mobile. It stars an ultra-hygienic alligator who must fight against the epic sludge of the underground in order to achieve his ultimate goal—taking a shower. Don’t think a showering alligator can rack up the adorable points? Then you’ve never met Swampy, Where’s My Water’s main crocodilian. If the ticking gator from Peter Pan had an irresistibly sanitary baby brother, it would be Swampy. Where does an urban alligator live? He lives in the sewer, of course. Help Swampy bring fresh water to his underground shower by digging through the dirt and opening up pipelines. Avoid multiplying algae, toxic ooze, and deceptively powerful mines by tunneling narrow passageways through the earth. Along the way, rack up points by collecting as many rubber ducks as you can. Be on the lookout for lost items as well; they’re hidden in the dirt. If you can soak Swampy in good time, you’ll be awarded a time bonus at the end of each round.

Killer animation (both graphics and sound) make Where’s My Water a must-have for mobile gamers. But it’s the traditional Disney storyline that sets this app apart from its competition. Good luck trying to break away from Swampy after you’ve seen his celebratory shower dance. It’s squeaky-clean fun.
