SpiritClips from Hallmark by SpiritClips is a streaming website/app meant to be family-friendly. You’ll get to watch movies that are entertaining, inspiring, and heartwarming, and suitable for all ages. While the app is free, you must purchase a subscription to view.

What It's All About

If you wish to have access to family-appropriate movies and are tired of the content offered on other streaming sites, then check out SpiritClips. You can buy an annual membership for $35.99 (works out to $2.99 a month), a monthly membership for $4.99, or an annual membership as a gift for someone else for just $23.39. When you figure out the cost of movies from your cable provider or rented titles, you’ll see that a membership with SpiritClips is definitely a money-saver.

If you click the Menu button you  will see a variety of options such as Movies, New on Spiritclips, SpiritClips Original Short Films, Shorts & Specials, Hallmark Hall of Fame Movies, Documentaries, Kids, Romance, Animals & Nature, and Sports.

I browsed through the Live Action movies. Some of the titles are Gifted Hands, Muppets from Space, Born Free, Hope and Glory, Fly Away Home, Brian’s Song, The Boy in the Plastic Bubble, and Good Will Hunting. These are all great titles.

The Settings icon takes you to a page with the standard Contact Support, Review, Recommend, and Privacy information.

The movies stream without a hitch. The sound quality is good as well. I really have no complaints about this app at all. I think it’s great that there are no R-rated films.

Final Verdict

I can see myself using this app a lot, particularly when we’re out and about and I need to keep my daughter busy for a few minutes. I like that there are “shorts” that are just long enough to be worth watching, yet not so long she gets bored watching. It’s super easy to browse or search to find what you want to watch.
