‘Monster Island’ Is Like Fragger But With Monsters

Fragger, a very popular game by Miniclip.com. Substitute the monsters in Monster Island for soldiers and you pretty much have Fragger although the incorporation of monsters with different capabilities is a nice touch. Although the game is cute and fun, it isn't very challenging but is worth picking up as a fun little time waster. Little, peaceful monsters are forced to use their bombs against blue monsters in order to protect their sacred planet. Each level has the same set up: the good monster is to the left of the screen and the bad monster is to the right. With the guide of an arrow, the player must aim and throw the bomb, or “minis” as they're called in the game, at the blue monster. Once the bomb touches the monster, it explodes and eliminates the enemy. The first 15-20 levels of the first world teach you the basics of the game, which include throwing, aiming, adjusting speed, and tactics on how to reach the blue monster. The levels are very simple and go by quickly, leading the player into slightly more difficult levels involving fun obstacles. The game also has four different “minis,” each with a distinct ability to utilize to eliminate the invader monsters. The game is pretty amusing and simple. Within a few minutes I completed over 20 levels, encountering few difficulties. I wish the game provided harder obstacles since the levels can get a little boring and pass by pretty fast. The animation is very playful, especially with the different monsters to choose from. The game has a store where you can buy a different character for about 700 coins, or at least while the “sale” lasts. The monsters come in different colors and body structures, giving the player a variety to choose from. The blue invader monsters are quite funny and remind me of the pigs from Angry Birds. If the player misses a shot or fails the level, the blue monster laughs and grins. If you are not very competitive Monster Island is the right game for you. Although it can be addicting, the level of difficulty isn't very high. It’s a good app for anyone taking a break from a more challenging game. The game is amusing and easy, so check it out!
