WLOX Weather app review: accurate and reliable weather forecasting

Introduction

This is a very comprehensively-featured weather forecasting app which will provide you with all of the usual basic information you would expect but with the added bonus of extensive satellite and radar imaging, video content, severe weather alerts, and much more.

WLOX Weather is very similar to quite a few other weather forecasting apps I’ve used in the past so I’m glad to see this. I say this because it’s a tried and tested formula which obviously works very well, and the developer has presented it in a fantastic way with loads of great features which run perfectly.

NOWrad radar technology appears to be becoming the standard for weather forecasting apps more and more as time goes on.

I really like it when I see apps which clearly demonstrate that the developer hasn’t attempted to reinvent the wheel, so to speak. This is quite evident with WLOX Weather because it follows along a similar vein to several other apps in this genre, and it does so with astounding efficacy.

You’ll have access to all of the basic weather information such as the temperature, humidity, wind speed and direction, and precipitation. In addition to this, WLOX Weather features the Road Weather Index and severe weather alerts which are color-coded according to their severity.

I’ve used a lot of weather apps which are prone to crashing but so far WLOX Weather has been running very smoothly with no lag or freezing, so that’s definitely reassuring.

You can view forecasts on anything from an hourly to a 10-day timeframe, and there is a large amount of video content with news and weather reports to keep you up-to-date with the latest happenings in your area.

All in all, this is a great weather forecasting app which is offers a lot of solid functionality all wrapped up in a wonderfully neat little package.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: don’t fix what ain’t broke!

I’d like to think of WLOX Weather as a weather forecasting app all grown up because all of the content is presented in a wonderfully clean and clear manner with the navigation nicely laid-out along the top and bottom of the interface.

You can use your device’s GPS to quickly find the weather for your local area and you can also save multiple locations which is ideal for those of you who frequently make trips out of town, perhaps to visit friends or relatives.

A decent weather forecasting app is essential in this day and age and you really can’t go wrong with WLOX Weather.
