This app can be a whole lot of fun if you are able to look past the ads. While I completely understand that a free app needs to be supported by ads, when it starts to interfere with the app itself it just is hard to give it a shot. I felt like each button I tapped would prompt an ad to come across the screen, never mind the tool bar across the bottom of the screen which wasn’t a toolbar at all rather just links to apps in the iTunes store.

The app features more than 18,000 jokes which are arranged into categories to help you find what you’re looking for. There are actually 49 different joke categories such as animals, business, dirty, men, and more.

Another cool feature of this app is that you don't need an Internet connection to access and read the jokes, which means they are available to you at all times.

As you read the jokes you can give them a thumbs-up or down and star them as a favorite so you can view them again. You can share jokes by Twitter, Facebook, email, SMS, or you can copy them.

 

Could Be More User-Friendly

Although there are some good jokes in here it could be more user-friendly. Searching for jokes is easy enough but because of all the pop-ups it’s tedious to just get from one joke to the next, or to perform any task for that matter. The user interface wasn’t a problem it’s basic but gets the job done.

I like that you can share the jokes with people so that everyone can enjoy a good laugh. Some of the jokes are meant for mature audiences, however, which is why the app has an age restriction of 17 and older.

Final Thoughts

I found the quality of the jokes to be pretty good here the user interface was simple enough I just found the pop-ups were much too annoying. For that reason alone the 18,000 Cool Jokes Free app is a pass as far as I’m concerned.
