Grand Tour Project app review

Grand Tour Project - Who wouldn't love to go Italy! The wine, the music, the aroma of the foods, Sophia Loren. It is a country dreams are made in. What about a virtual Italy? I think this app has a great idea, they just don't have a great start. Grand Tour Project wants to be your tour guide in your pocket, and your wallet. Here is why I think they haven't got it yet. First, they start with 8 cities in Italy, and only two are in the top ten list of destinations of tourists, Venice and Verona. Yes, Venice is a beautiful place with romance and history, but so far, they only give you 5 videos to buy. The city with the most videos is Ravenna, 10 videos. Now I am sure Ravenna is a charming town, but why not start with the most popular places. Why not start with the capital city Rome! Next is that the app Is free to download, but you buy those guided videos in obscure places. $1 each, or $2 for HD. With 25 videos available, that is a much as $50 to places you never even dreamed about. Had they been the more popular destinations, this app mitt sell more tour videos. You do get 2 free guided tours of a school in Venice. The quality is nice. It took me just a little to adjust to the narrator's accent, but she had a very pleasant voice along with some classical background music, made listening enjoyable. On the other hand, the download rate is so slow its Iike waiting in line at the amusement park. Besides that, the voice over in the introduction video, and the music that just doesn't fit at the introduction of the videos I viewed, made me say no to this app. This is truly a "project" of which they haven't finished and the start is in my opinion, in the wrong places. I guess Italy will just have to wait for this guy for now. ( BTW: Top ten cities in Italy - Rome, Venice, Florence, Milan, Naples, Verona, Turin, Bologna, Perugia, Genoa.. 8 cities of the app - Codigoro, Ferrara, Monselice, Padua, Ravenna, Ravigo, Venice, Verona)
