Barcode Warz in Space app review

There are so many games and apps out there which just cannot work without the use of an iOS device. And we’re not even talking about the left-of-the-dial ideas which populate it! And at first glance, Barcode Warz in Space may be one such idea.

So, here’s the gist of it: this is a 2D side-scrolling space shoot-‘em-up game. Looks normal, right? However, you could only get in-game bonuses in the forms of weapons and shield upgrades mainly through one method: you simply scan a barcode to get those upgrades. Sounds crazy, right? But in practice, this app makes it look very easy that you won’t even feel weird scanning QR codes at random! It’s retro gaming with a twist!
