The app is able to take all of this information then organizes it based on its location, making it easy for users to find what they want.

What's funny about this app is that its customer star rating doesn't seem to match the actual comments. While the star rating is generally quite good the comments suggest that many of the users are unhappy.

It seems as though the information in the app isn’t tied to The Daily Meal’s website and its content.

 

The User Experience

My experience with the app has been quite positive. You are able to easily and quickly find the bars, restaurants, and the actual food that you can enjoy close by. As mentioned you can use this wherever you are; it doesn't have to be your hometown. This makes it a handy companion tool when meeting up with a bunch of friends and you are all looking for that perfect place to eat.

When you launch the app it will use your device's GPS to locate your position and then find the nearby restaurants and bars. The list pops up quite quickly for me but it's obvious that the list is missing a lot of information. Not only that, but the restaurants on there are far from ones I would expect to find great meals as shall we say. Another user commented on the same problem that there doesn’t seem to be any filters on what gets posted and I would have to agree with that sentiment.

There are a few noteworthy features here such as the ability to make a wish list of places you want to eat at, view The Daily Meal's city guides, and receive alerts as you approach a nearby restaurant.
