Once again the awesome development team of WSI Corporation has teamed up with a local news station, in this case WIFR in Rockford, Illinois, to deliver localized weather forecasting across a range of highly accurate and easy-to-read visual formats and timeframes.

This is a very nicely developed app with a ton of great features that I’m sure are going to be more than enough to help you make a fair assessment of the weather conditions on any given day of the week.

The interface is deliciously simplistic with a Help section in case you get stuck when using one of the features, and I’m also pleased to see that the developer has made the effort to include a Video section. I bring this up because some developers miss this out in similar apps, but I think this should serve Rockford residents quite effectively.

WSI Corporation is one of a handful of developers that feature rather extensively within the Weather category of the App Store, and I’ve yet to find an app of theirs that has left me disappointed; WIFR Weather is certainly no exception to that rule.

This app provides content of almost unparalleled detail and overall quality, and best of all, it’s available completely free of charge! I’d also like to add that I think this app will serve Rockford locals far better than the standard iOS Weather widget which is a little more on the generic side.
