Bone Genius app review: injecting some fun into medical knowledge

Reviews

Introduction

Just because you work in the medical field and have an awful lot of information you need to learn and remember doesn't mean you can't have a little fun with it. The Bone Genius app is a brand-new release that can be used on your iPod touch, iPad, and iPhone. This app features 3D graphics that help you learn about the skeletal anatomy in an engaging and entertaining way. This app is ideal for those in pre-nursing or pre-med school to help them not just learn the information but retain the knowledge.

A Fun Spin on Education

It’s amazing that when you make learning fun how much more you’re able to learn and remember. That is exactly the kind of mantra that the Bone Genius app uses, realizing that learning about skeletal anatomy can pretty overwhelming so an engaging approach can certainly go a long way. In this app you will actually be learning plenty of information, all while you play and have a great time. You can keep track of your scores and watch as you start to climb up that leaderboard impressing yourself in the process. There are different modes of play/learning that range from beginner to expert so you will be well covered.

This brand-new release already has a perfect five out of five star customer rating, with users absolutely raving about how helpful and fun it is to use. Some have stated that this has a much better and much more lasting effect than traditional flashcards and textbook quizzes.

Using the App

Launch the app to begin your learning experience. This app can really help you learn all the basics plus prepare you for your exam. The app takes you through the skeletal anatomy showing and describing how the bones of the body fit together. Each and every bone is labeled as well so you're never left with questions. The app is divided into four different challenges which are leg, skull, torso, and arm/hand.

Because I’m not in the medical field it’s hard for me to comment on the quality of the content but what I can comment on is the app itself, meaning the user interface. Everything about it is clean, sleek, and professional feeling, which I think is the exact look you want to achieve for this type of app. Navigating through it is fast and simple and I get why you can quickly become absorbed in it as it feels very much like a game rather than a learning experience.
