Human Body Facts 1000 app review: a collection of facts about the human body

Reviews

Introduction

Out of the blue, I stumbled over another app from one of my most dreaded developers. I have written many a review in the past about apps from developer Michael Quach, and all of them ended in a huge disappointment for me as well as for the developer (if he actually read the reviews in any case). I was very surprised that, after not having seen any of his apps pop up in a long time, a new app suddenly appeared in the App Store. Human Body Facts 1000 is available for free and is developed for both iPhone and iPad. The app is just under 5 MB.

What it Offers

As the name of the app might suggest, the app simply offers 1000 facts about the human body; nothing more and nothing less. What I was really wondering when looking forward to reviewing this app is if the developer learned his lesson from previous apps, and if after not seeing his name float around for such a long time, if he actually improved upon his successful formula. If I compare the app to his previous apps, there is nothing changed at first sight, but all the old features are still here, such as the ability to make any of the facts your favorite for easy access, and to be able to share the facts via SMS, email, or Facebook.

What the Developer has Learned

So what has the developer changed? The answer to this is simple: nothing. The developer still holds the same practices as he did months ago, simply creating a relatively useless app, copying all the facts he can find from the Internet and sticking them in one app. He simply add in ads and there you go: another profitable trap for the unknowing consumer. I actually wonder how much this guy actually makes, as creating these apps must be so easy that anyone could do it. So Mister Quach, if you read this, please leave a comment on how much you make as a ton of people would love to live the life you do.

Conclusion

I really have no idea why Apple keeps allowing these apps in the App Store, as they really add nothing of value to our devices or to the App Store. The apps must make some money as the developer keeps doing his very best on creating all kind of useless variations on his app. Nothing has improved in the last year, either. I really wish he would add a search function, or photos or something, but there is literally no improvement to be found. The app is compatible with both iPad and iPhone and weighs in at just under 5 MB.
