Level 2 has two collections of creatures. Collection one includes Dragon + Treasure, Bunnies in Basket, Phoenix, Bee + Flowers, Beautiful Unicorn, Monkey + Vine, Puppy, Ice Skating Penguin, Leaping Dolphin, and Panda + Bamboo. Collection 2 includes Star Bear, Dragon & Unicorn Couple, Rainbow Cats, Toboggan Polar Bear, Pretty Fish, Nerdy Owl, Love Koala, 3-Tailed Fox, Guinea Pig, and Cute Yorkie.

Easy to Follow with Voice Instructions

Learn to Draw is an easy-to-follow instructional drawing app. It teaches kids step-by-step how to draw characters that they may have been trying to draw on their own. What I like about this app is that it takes the concept of the Learn to Draw books and does it in a voiceover tutorial. Each instruction has the step drawn in black, while the teacher explains what is happening. For example, in the Dragon + Treasure drawing, the teacher explains to draw an oval for the head, and there is an oval drawn on the screen.

You do need to have a separate sketch pad ready. You cannot trace over the penciled-in lines, nor sketch on the side of the tutorial with your finger. This is okay with me, however, because it is difficult to draw with your finger versus your pencil, especially when learning to draw something new.

Teaches Shading and Detail

Learn to Draw - Fun2drawTM Lv2 also shows how you can shade the drawings to get more of a 3D feel and look to your drawings. It does not explain how to do this, but it does show a darker green and a lighter green when telling you to color in the Dragon for example. What I like about this is that a lot of the Learn to Draw series do not go into how to color your drawing, and then you wind up feeling as though you have wrecked your awesome drawing by coloring it wrong. Part of learning is doing things in a way that you don’t like a hundred times before you do it in a way that you do like; however, it is nice to have the pointers on shading, wood grain, shiny eyes and diamonds, and even wings in this fun learn-to-draw app for kids.

Learn to Draw - Draw and Color Cute Animals Cartoons - Drawing Apps for Kids - Fun2drawTM Lv2 is an iPad and iPhone app that is very well-laid-out and. I have no problem with the $2.99 fee, as the learn to draw books at a big box book store cost a lot more than that. If your children want to learn to draw fantasy characters and animals, then this would be a great step-by-step tutorial app for them.
