Introduction
Phone Trace 4 has been designed to make it a little easier for you to find your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch should you misplace it, but given how overpriced it is and the negative user feedback it has received I will have to advise you guys not to download it onto your device.
The best iPhone tracking apps-2021More often than not, when I start up an app for the first time with low expectations I usually find myself being pleasantly surprised, but unfortunately this simply has not been the case with Phone Trace 4 for iPhone and iPad.
As you’ll see in the Pros & Cons section below, the functionality is severely limited in terms of overall features and reliability, and you can easily find a comparable development in the Utilities and Productivity categories of the App Store for a far lower price.
GPS Integration
This navigation app has been designed for you to be able to easily track down your iOS device if it gets stolen or you lose it, utilizing the integrated GPS in order to display its current location.
Best iphone and ipad appsYou can connect your device to another iPhone to receive real-time location updates, while also being able to send commands remotely, but I personally haven’t had any luck trying to get this to work effectively.
Far From Convinced
Phone Trace 4 claims to send a notification when your stolen device has its SIM changed or when the location changes, but again I simply haven’t been able to see this working with any kind of reliability so I’m not convinced.
As I’ve mentioned below, even if all of the features were fully available and working at optimal efficiency, this device tracker app still needs to see a considerable reduction in price before I would consider it a worthwhile purchase.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Easily see your device’s current location
- Connect your device to another iPhone to see real-time location updates and send commands remotely
- Receive a notification when your stolen phone has its SIM changed or when the location changes
Cons
- More than one user has complained on the iTunes description page that the majority of the features promised by the developer simply do not work, or are only available via in-app purchases which weren’t made clear initially
- Even at its full potential, I would say that this app is grossly overpriced, so I would recommend opting for a cheaper and more effective alternative
Final Words
In its current incarnation, Phone Trace 4 is an iPhone and iPad utilities app that I really cannot recommend that you guys spend your hard-earned money on because it just doesn’t seem to deliver what it promises.
For this reason I would strongly suggest that you look for a cheaper iPhone tracker in the Utilities and Productivity categories of the App Store.
