Scribble Hero

Price: $0.99

For: iPhone, iPod touch, iPad with iOS 4.3 or later

Scribble Hero by Nickelodeon is an action-filled game where you and Sketch have to fight to protect your notebook from doodles and scribbles.

You’ll have adventures through many different worlds, from outer space to medieval castles. You also have to save Dot, Sketch’s girlfriend. You will fight evil bosses like Triblorb, an alien overlord, and Dracopede, the fire-breathing monster on your way to the big-time boss.

You can stock your arsenal with the Red Marker of Death and the Doodle Destroyer. The app does offer in-app purchases of coins ranging from $0.99 to $49.99. Make sure if you have kids that you turn off the in-app purchase option.

The app features fantastic hand-drawn graphics, simple controls, and the opportunity to collect coins to buy stuff to improve your experience as well as game boosts. There are 50 levels, tons of weapons and upgrades you can make, a total of 10 evil bosses to fight.

To move Sketch around, just drag him in the direction you want him to move. He’ll fire automatically in the direction he is facing. If you want him to fire the opposite way, drag him over the page crease.
You get a rewind mode so if you die you can go back and fight better.

Special weapons will let you scribble over enemies with permanent marker and punch holes in the paper.
The app was updated to Version 1.0.2 on December 19, 2012. The update improved performance and stability. The new updated version has a total of 673 customer ratings with an average of 4.5 out of five stars. Feedback comments are all positive.

I really like this shooter game. The hand-drawn graphics are totally fun and the simple but fun gameplay will keep you entertained.
