Number one, you will have to allow it access to your device in an intrusive manner in order for it to work, if you're not comfortable with this then this app is not for you. The other thing to keep in mind is that while Disconnect does have a free version it only provides you basic protection, in order to achieve the greatest protection you would have to purchase their Malvertising package as an in-app purchase. Once you've activated the app, it will do its work in the background. There really isn't anything else to it so you may think it's not doing anything. But do a quick Google search and find out some sites that are known for tracking activities and try visiting one of them after installing the app. What you'll find is that the site will say server not found. This is because Disconnect is protecting you from accessing a potentially dangerous tracking site. That's it-that's all there is to it.
