The HGTV Magazine furthers the TV station's concept by providing more great and exciting designing ideas, bargains, how-to's and much more. If you are a fan of the station or the magazine, then you will definitely enjoy the digital copy of this popular home makeover magazine.

The HGTV Magazine for iPad app is free to download, however, to read this magazine you have to purchase a subscription. The subscription fees are: $19.99 for 1 year or $1.99 for 1 month. You will be charged immediately upon your choice of subscription.

This app has an automatic renewal feature which means your paid subscription will automatically renew unless you turn off this feature 24 hours before your current subscription ends. You are not allowed to cancel the subscription during the active period.

The app was last updated on December 31st, 2012. Version 2.3.1 fixed a few bugs that were causing crashes with the iO6 system.

The app has 24 ratings for the current version with a 2-star average. For all versions, it has 328 ratings with an average of 3 stars.

Unfortunately, this app will not transfer over your magazine subscription to a digital copy. This means you will have to purchase two subscriptions if you want to view the magazine digitally.  This is a huge disappointment and a slap in the face for subscribers. Additionally, the restrictions for when you can or can't cancel a subscription are a major annoyance. You are better off just watching the HGTV station and writing down your makeover ideas than dealing with the renewal feature and double charging of subscriptions.
