izik by blekko Inc is a reference app that provides you with a fun and sleek search engine, with results displayed on a glossy page with sharp images, gesture controls and multiple categories.
izik organizes all your search results into different categories which provides an easy viewing experience unlike any other. With a simple horizontal swipe you can view more results, and swipe again vertically to see even more categories. With pinch-to-zoom and the ability to expand the images, you will quickly feel comfortable navigating this app.
Another plus is the quick answer box, which makes short work of finding what you need. The newest update added Strict Safe Search Mode as a default setting, which enables adult/explicit content to be removed from your searches. To disable this feature simply access the preference controls located in the left tray. The update also made some bug fixes and general performance improvements.
izik was updated to Version 1.4 on February 20, 2013. It has a total of 115 customer ratings with an average of four and a half out of five stars. Users are calling this one of the most innovative approaches to search engines. A wide variety of beautiful photos coupled with easy navigation and a plethora of categories makes this a favorite for many of its users.
This app provides an excellent recreation of the traditional search with great filtering and very fast results. I have enjoyed using this app very much and will be hanging onto this one for a while. I can’t imagine going back to the standard web search engines ever again.
