Nick for iPad app review

Nick

Price: Free

Nick by Nickelodeon helps you keep the kids happy and entertained while on the go.

This app for your iPad brings all the very best of Nickelodeon to the kids. There are animated shorts, original videos that will have them giggling away, games, Nick stars, and recent episodes from all their favorite shows.

Sometimes it's hard to keep the kids amused while out and about so this is the kind of app that can seem like a real lifesaver at times.

Kids can zoom in and out and use the swipe function to explore through the app. It's built to be used by the kids, so it's extremely user-friendly.

Fun features of the app include the wide selection of games that are always being updated; the original videos that are meant to have the kids laughing with their favorite characters and many stars (these videos are updated daily); the animated shorts that feature Fairly Odd Parents, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, SpongeBob and more; full episodes (this requires logging in with your current TV provider); and the ability to save your favorite games and videos for easy access.

As an added bonus there are also updates from the Nick stars such as tweets, pictures, and posts.

Nick was released on Feb. 21, 2013 and currently has 165 customer ratings with an average rating of four and a half out of five stars.

This app was loaded with entertainment options. I found the polls especially fun that you could take part in and cast your vote.

For: iPad with iOS 5.0 or later
