SkyDroid by Goldstein Technologies LLC is a comprehensive golf course guide with GPS and overhead course views.

Enjoying a Sunday afternoon at the golf course is a great way to spend a day for most. Warm walks down the fairway of each course as you try to better your score for each hole. As you play each course again and again you get better at judging the distances and know the contours of each hole. What if you could know each hole that well at any course?

This is where SkyDroid comes in. SkyDroid gives you overhead views for each at more than 20,000 courses worldwide.  It also provides detailed distance information for every green including the closest and furthest points from the pin.

SkyDroid can track the distance of your shots as well. Simply input the location of your ball from the tee and app uses your GPS to calculate the distance traveled. Every course features satellite imagery to give you a clear view of the course from the tee to the pin and SkyDroid will show your distance to any point on the course.

SkyDroid was last updated to Version 1.9.1 on January 24, 2013 and included some minor updates and now allows you to choose the satellite image provider. There have been six ratings for this app with an average score of five out of five stars.

This app really has a lot of features that most golfers will truly appreciate. I love the measurements that can be seen for each course such as the distance to each area of the green and even my distance to the pin. This is definitely a handy tool that every golfer should have in his or her pocket.
