Band Together by Backflip Studios is a unique game that features a micro-platformer with single screen puzzles.
If this sounds intriguing then you'll want to read on. This iPad app is nothing short of addictive right from the get-go. It's about combining super cute with super odd and freaky in this fabulous game.
The backstory in this game centers on Michael Silverstein ("Midge") who is always being teased at school because of his small hands. Midge finally has had enough of the teasing and he flees to the attic at his Great Aunt's house where he starts to create things only he can thanks to his small hands.
While he's working away in the attic he comes across an old shoebox that contains some curious creatures that are sleeping. As soon as they exposed to light they wake and take one look at Midge's small hands and believe he must be God. Midge nicknames them "Bandies" and learns they want to be tested. Now Midge starts to create all kinds of crazy tests meant to push these little guys as far as possible.
You'll be working through all kinds of levels that increase in difficulty as you move through them. You can skip levels and return to them later. The goal is to see how many Bandies you can save on each level.
Band Together was released on June 20, 2012 and currently has 1,057 customer ratings with an average rating of four and a half out of five stars.
It’s crazy how this game manages to combine such cute elements with such creepy ones and still manage to be a whole lot of fun. Game play is challenging but that’s what keeps your interest and keeps you coming back for more.
