Where to Eat?

Price: FREE

Where to Eat? by OnDemandWorld is an app that will utilize the GPS capabilities of your iOS device to provide you with a list of nearby restaurants.

This app features more than 30 food types across 45 different cuisines, and allows you to search quickly with just a few taps.

Your recent searches and most frequent searches will be saved so you can, for example, easily reference back to find the details on that incredible Thai restaurant you found two weeks ago but can’t quite remember the name.

Where to Eat? boasts a novel feature called Shake-to-Suggest which you can use by simply shaking your device within the app. Shake-to-Suggest will present you with randomized searches so if you are feeling adventurous you may end up trying something new.

Where to Eat? was updated to version 5.3.3 in mid-January of 2013. The current version has a total of 66 customer ratings with an average rating of four out of five stars. Customer reviews are generally fairly positive.

I’m curious to see how the promised offline restaurant database will work in one of the coming updates. At the moment, Where to Eat? is a good app, but I think that with a little more attention to detail and offline support, it could easily become a great app.

For: iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad with iOS 5.0 or later. Optimized for iPhone 5.
