When iOS 6 came out Apple tried to venture into brave new territory and released their very own Apple Maps app which unfortunately was still in its infancy. This left people wanting something more functional and reliable and this is where My Maps for Google Maps takes over.

You can use the ever loved map, satellite, and hybrid functions to change the view of the map and get some very detailed images of the buildings and roads or just few a plain drawing of the roadways for navigation purposes. Anywhere that you have already been is cached on your device which means you can view those maps offline.

The street view is also available in this app which means you can get real images of the actual street as if you were standing there yourself. Travel down the road or around the corner and view the buildings and business as you go. It’s almost like a virtual tour.
