AsthmaSense by iSonea Inc. offers a comprehensive suite of tools that will enable any asthma suffer to monitor and track various facets of the condition on a daily basis as well as assessing symptoms over longer periods of time. It was updated to Version 1.1.1 on May 27, 2013.
AsthmaSense is ideal for adults and children to manage their asthma in an effective and convenient manner. You can set reminders so that you don’t forget to take your medication, as well as seeing when your next dose is due so you know well in advance. If you miss a dose of medication, don’t worry: you can log it that too, in the same way that you can if you take unscheduled medication.
As a side note, users must be 18 or over to confirm their registration; if parents want their younger children to have this app, they will have to take responsibility and “sign” the Service Agreement.
You can make notes in a diary, which is great for helping you track the severity of your asthma symptoms and breathing difficulties over time. All of the data you record will automatically synchronize with the AsthmaSense data Cloud, enabling you to access your logs remotely at any time. You can also view trends in the development of your asthma over time and even edit your diary entries on your computer.
What’s more, if the data begins to suggest that your asthma is not well controlled according to National Institute for Health Guidelines, Asthma Sense will send you a status alert.
There are no in-app purchases for this app.
AsthmaSense is currently running on Version 1.1.1.
The latest update included improvements to Cloud file sharing support, as well as improvements to Facebook integration and the setup wizard. The update also added a limit on name length and automatic content syncing when you log on or off.
The current version of AsthmaSense has not yet received enough customer ratings to generate an average score; however, all versions have so far received a total of 10 ratings with an average score of four out of five stars.
This really is a must-have app for everyone who has asthma. Keeping hold of AsthmaSense on your iPhone is a great idea for making your life a little more convenient, because you won’t need to worry about forgetting to take your medication and you can continually track your symptoms by taking a few seconds every now and then to quickly plug some data in.
What makes this app even better is how easy it is to use; I don’t suffer from asthma personally but I can imagine what a hindrance it would be to be constantly jotting down notes, but with AsthmaSense you can get going right away. Facebook integration makes setting up the app even quicker and easier, and can be done with just a couple of taps.
