ATP/WTA Live app review: tennis scores any time, all the time! 2021

Introduction

ATP/WTA Live by EDH Tennis Limited is the official app from the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) and the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA).

The tennis scores app lists all different official professional tennis contests hosted anywhere in the world. You will not believe how many different tennis tournaments are happening at the same time every week. So, it's great to have all of that info in one ATP WTA scores app.

Current matches, results and schedules

As this is the official app of the governing body of the tennis world, you would expect they have all the information on every match being played. All tournaments of the ATP World Tour, the WTA and the Challenger Tour are here.

You can follow live matches, see which matches are up next and the results of current tournaments. A trick missed by this app is the fact that they have a huge calendar that shows all previous tournaments, but not the results or scores.

It is, on the other hand, really nice to see the draws for tournaments that happen soon. Tournaments in the future are only mentioned by name. No information is available on them yet and will likely only be made available in the week the contest is held.

Match points and love games

A nice feature of this app is the ability to see the current rankings within the world of tennis. The rankings listed are the ATP Singles, ATP Doubles Individual, ATP Doubles Team, WTA Singles, WTA Doubles Individual and WTA Doubles Team.

Another very good feature is that within these rankings, you can tap on each individual player and see their profile, and amongst other information, the pronunciation of their name!

It’s a shame the app didn’t make this last feature available throughout the app, as when looking at matches, tapping on a player’s name doesn’t reap the same rewards.

Regrettably, no option to watch videos of the matches are available in this app. However, a link is provided to another official app that is solely based around video.

• No profile linking from the tournaments, only from the rankings table
• No information on future tournaments
• No backlog of information on previous tournaments
• No video coverage

Conclusion

ATP/WTA Live is a great app for people who want to keep up to date with all current tennis news. This is not designed as a news app, just solely to be able to follow the current scores.

This app could be a lot better if they added future and past tournament information in here, and they link information within the app better. I also don’t understand why they don’t merge this app with their official video app. I will recommend this app, but only to the true tennis fan who has no other means to see live matches.
