Voice Changer Free app review: apply crazy effects to your voice for endless laughter

Introduction

This is a very funny little app which enables you to speak into your device’s microphone and then play the clip back through the filter of various audio effects which adjust qualities such as the speed, pitch, and tonality of your voice, producing some truly hilarious results and making this a great app for kids both little and big!

My friend and I have been having loads of fun with this app; the free version only includes seven different effects but you can access even more via in-app purchase, but at the very least I’d recommend checking out the free version to see what you think because I’ve been getting some good laughs out of it for sure.

"Luuuuke, I Am Your Father!"

Although I don’t mean to start this review off on a negative point, I must admit I was a little disappointed when I first started up this app. I was expecting to be able to hear the effects applied to my voice in real time without having to record anything but as it turns out, you have to record your clip first and then play it back while experimenting with the various effects.

This isn’t a huge problem but it would be nice to have the option to do it either way.

Aside from this, Voice Changer Free doesn’t have a massive amount of functionality to offer and the audio effects are admittedly a little “stock” in nature, but that doesn’t change the fact that you’ll get at least one little smile or giggle out of it, if not a whole cavalcade of hilarity!

 

Options and Features

In terms of the effects themselves, some will slow your voice, some will speed it up, another one will make you sound super deep and another one makes you sound much softer and more effeminate.

All of them are pretty funny but my personal favorite is the slow and deep effect because, of course, the first thing that came to my mind is “Luke, I am your father!”

If you have kids then you absolutely must download this app because they’ll be rolling around on the floor in hysterics. If you don’t have children, well, check it out anyway because you’ll still have plenty of fun!

Final Words

As I mentioned, Voice Changer Free doesn’t offer a huge amount of functionality. This means there isn’t really a whole lot that can go wrong because everything is very basic, but nevertheless, I’m still glad to see that the developer has done a great job in creating a smooth-running and reliable app.

Serious stuff aside, Voice Changer Free should hold a permanent spot on your iPhone because it’s the ideal tool for cheering up the kids when they’re bored, playing tricks on your friends, or simply as an amusing party piece.
