Human Anatomy! app review: contains the information of nineteen different biological systems

Reviews

Introduction

What we have here is one of the simpler human anatomy apps available for iPhone and iPad, acting largely as a kind of front end collection of reference links to Wikipedia that you can check out to learn about nineteen different biological systems throughout the human body.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • View detailed illustrations of each biological system that can be zoomed using pinch touch to get the best vantage point
  • Description of various structures and elements are clearly represented in each biological system
  • Use integrated reference links to Wikipedia to learn even more about the subject matter

Cons

  • There have been a couple of fairly valid complaints made by users on the iTunes description page, which are as follows:

“This app is really just a front end to Wikipedia and should never have been approved for AppStore. Otherwise there will be as many 'officially-apple-approved" apps as there are Wikipedia topics.”

“This app can allow a child free internet (unfiltered) access to the internet….in a round-about way. It's not easy to find, but my 11 yr old son found it. So anyone who has parental safety in place on their child's iPod or phone, don't get this app.”
