What we have here is another addition to the world of cutesy, colorful, and utterly crazy puzzle games that will have you scratching your head and laughing your way through 100 levels of whacky jelly-filled adventures.
This game definitely brings something new to the table and I absolutely love the progressive element which is included with the gradual introduction of new features, power ups, and obstacles to keep things fresh and interesting.
My favorite part of Jelly Splash? There are no time limits whatsoever so you can play at a pace which suits you and formulate strategies to rack up the highest possible scores!
The premise of this game is very simple. You’ll be presented with a grid filled with jellies of various colors and you must connect jellies of the same color in a line to remove them, score points, and clear the way for new jellies to drop down.
Of course, the fun doesn’t stop there!
The more jellies you connect in a single line, the more your points will be multiplied, and as you progress through the levels, of which there are 100, you’ll gain access to power-ups for removing jellies even more quickly.
Although there is no time limit on each level, you only get a certain number of moves with which to complete the level and you only have a finite number of lives, after which you’ll have to either purchase more, ask your friends for more via Facebook integration, or wait for the timer to count down until you receive more for free.
The levels are laid out on a map in a similar fashion to Candy Crush Saga and some of the features are quite reminiscent of it. I don’t see this as a bad thing because who doesn’t love a game of Candy Crush from time to time!
Jelly Splash is a big load of fun and is definitely set to cause quite a splash in the App Store so be sure to check it out!
Having been modeled on existing games, Jelly Splash is hardly the most original game out there, but it follows a tried and tested formula which has been successful for years. I think the developers have put enough of an original spin on this game for it to appeal to a lot of people.
Facebook integration is obviously a must for a game like this so glad to see that has been included also.
Cutesy, crazy, squelchy, splashy, bouncy fun; what are you waiting for, go check it out!
