Clash of Clans by Supercell is a great combat strategy game.

Not just another town-building app, this game requires you to build your village, train your soldiers to fight and defend said village, and battle it out with thousands of other online players. It’s an exciting, addictive, competitive game that will have you developing fantastic fighters.

Your fighting horde will consist of Dragons, War Wizards, Barbarians, and a bunch of other great fighters. You can either join up with another established clan or start your own and put yourself into contest to gain control of the Realm. Your first task will be to fight off the goblins but then you have to try to gain supremacy over all the other clans.

You’ll need an Internet connection to play.

This game caters to players who want human interaction while playing as well as those who prefer to play alone. There’s a chat window, but you don’t have to use it. It’s a little small for the iPhone, anyway.

Right now you’ll get the limited-edition Winter special theme, complete with an amazing snow fall effect, the Unpleasant Present, a Christmas tree for your village, and a new spell where you can ask Santa to deliver an awe-inspiring bombardment to any enemy’s village.Clash of Clans app review

The Clash of Clans app was updated on November 19, 2012. The update added the Winter special effects. The current version has 1806 ratings with an average of 4.5 out of five stars.

I’ve liked this game for a while and I must say that the update kind of made it harder to get anywhere without buying gems, but it’s still a great app.
