Grand Piano

Price: Free

Grand Piano by App Camelot is a fantastic piano app for your iPad.

Grand Piano is just that: a grand app that lets you play really great tunes on your iPad. You’ll come to love having this app and maybe even learn to play piano if you don’t already know how. The built-in instruction teaches you step-by-step how to master the ivory keys.

Songs included in this app are: Happy Birthday, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Swan Lake, and several others. You can play along with them or just listen and watch. There is also a free play mode if you feel like a little freestyle. The keyboard is a full 88 key keyboard and is laid out exactly like a real grand piano.

Practice with all your might using the training mode which even allows you to practice one hand at a time. What’s even more exciting is you can choose the hand you would like to practice. The integrated metronome will help keep you on beat as you learn to play like a regular Stevie Wonder.

Grand Piano was last updated to Version 1.2 on February 26, 2013 and included new social features such as Facebook and Twitter sharing. There have been 29 ratings for this app with an average score of four out of five stars.

There are several piano apps that I have tried now and all of them have really great features. I think however that my favorite feature is the instructional mode. It was very easy for me to follow and I think I actually improved from using it.

For: iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad with iOS 4.3 or later
