The word commute rings like a terror in the ears of the many people who have to experience it every day, day to day. The hours upon hours that you spend on the train, or on the bus can cause a nervous breakdown just from how mind-numbingly boring the commute can be, which is why many of us seek ways to entertain ourselves while in the car or cart. While those with the attention span and the patience to do so read books, us, mere mortals, look to our phones for entertainment. And it is for these mere mortals that I have decided to create a list of apps that can help shorten your commute and brighten it up a little, thanks to the entertainment you receive. Now, some of the apps below cater to tastes that others might not find as enjoyable, so it is up to you to decide which ones you are going to try. But, we are going to be exploring every possible option, or at least four of the options available to us.

Neoserf

Neoserf is not for everyone, but it definitely offers something to those who know what they are looking for when they want to enjoy themselves. The app is dedicated to games that are featured with the Neoserf casinos, so those who like to play around with cards, watch the wheels spin or even just want to feel the rush of pulling the lever, it is the perfect app. it This app allows you to play the games for free or for real money, so there is a guaranteed element of enjoyment, and some of the lucky ones might even end up winning a whole lot of money when playing with the application. Although, fair warning, casino gaming is not for everyone and if you know that you are not specifically attracted to it, you should definitely stay away from it.

.

Audible

If you are looking for something more peaceful and, possibly even educational, then it might be a good idea to consider downloading Audible. The app is dedicated to creating, storing and offering their users a large library of books, except the book, are read out loud by famous actors and professional voice actors. There are hundreds and hundreds of books available for the enjoyment of the users, so there is definitely something for everyone. Whether you are trying to read the Ice and Fire stories, looking to read some mystery novels or just want some light reading, there the option will definitely be available for you with the app. Just make sure you download the book to your phone so that you can listen to it without any interruptions.

Duolingo

Duolingo is everybody's favourite, polyglot owl. The app allows users to try their hand at learning a different language, by giving them examples, lessons, new words, sentence constructions and the occasional test. The entire system of the app is gamified, and it allows you to enjoy yourself while doing something as complex as learning another language. The process is a little complicated, but if you spend at least an hour a day on your commute with the app, you will probably end up retaining more and more stuff. Eventually, you might even end up having learned an entire language, which is more than most can say they did during their commute.

 .

Headspace

Headspace is an app for those who struggle to keep their head in the right place, especially during the long commute towards wherever they are going. The app allows users to enjoy their meditative headspaces and get in the mood for the day. It has a very positive effect on the mind of the clients to spend some time working with the headspace application and they find their lives to be better off. You are not doing much more than thinking about work anyway, so spending a few minutes meditating might make the day a little better.
