iPhone 6 may be delayed up to four weeks

The new iPhone may be delayed by up to four weeks, which means that the demand is bigger than the supply. The iPhone 6 Plus, with its bigger screen, will take up to four weeks for those who pre-ordered them yesterday on September 12th. This is according to Apple’s website. The smaller iPhone 6 will take seven to 10 days to come in, although some will be available for delivery on September 19. This is also when they will go on sale in stores.

According to a spokesperson for Apple, the response has been “incredible,” with a record number of people placing pre-orders overnight. The website failed under the traffic when people waiting until midnight to order. Everyone logging on at the same time caused slow load times. A person with AT&T said this is the highest demand for an iPhone in two years. He went on to say that every time there’s a design change, there’s an increase in demand.

This isn’t the first time that iPhone models have been delayed; the iPhone 5, when it came out in 2012, was delayed by a week, and the 4S in 2011 sold out at Sprint, AT&T, and Verizon Wireless just five days after pre-orders began.
