In an interview with the Telegraph, Tim Cook said that the Apple Watch will replace your car keys. If you’re sick of carrying around the big clunky fob, those days will soon be over. He went on to say that the watch’s battery will last all day and won’t take as long as an iPhone to re-charge.
The Watch will also replace your credit card using Apple Pay but no details have yet been released regarding how user verification will work. The Watch is coming out soon, but in the meantime, Apple Stores are going to be “tweaked” in order to properly display and sell the wearable devices.
In other Apple news, Apple unveiled CarPlay last March, which allows users to access contacts on their iPhones, listen to voicemails, and make calls, all without taking their hands off the wheel. Earlier in February, news outlets reported on the rumor that Apple is looking at making an electric car.
