Epic Games yesterday announced that its latest Unreal Development Kit (UDK) Beta supports the Mac platform, giving Mac app developers a powerful engine tool to develop a new class of games. According to Epic Games' website:
"Unreal Engine 3 supports developing for Apple's Macintosh platform for easy cross-platform distribution. The development process is virtually identical for games to be run on the Mac platform, but the packaging and deployment process does require some additional steps."
The most successful iOS app using Unreal Engine is Infinity Blade, which is also one of our favorite iOS games of all time.  Other iOS apps using the Unreal Engine include:
  1. Atmospheric
  2. Bay Bridge Explorer
  3. Castlerama
  4. Cyclone Dash
  5. Dungeon Defenders: First Wave
  6. Jump or Die
  7. PD -prope discoverer-
