Introduction
Calling all parents of toddlers: we've got a way to keep your toddler busy with an educational matching game. The Toonia TwinMatch app can be used on your iPod touch, iPad, and iPhone and will have kids matching all kinds of different cards. The game is based upon Mahjong Solitaire in its most traditional form; however, this has a fun twist and theme that will suit the kids. Kids will have to match pairs of the tiles but there is plenty of variety thanks to the 36 layouts and three different themes.
Give Kids Something Constructive To Do
Rather than sitting in front of the TV, or worse yet, running amok in the house, why not give your toddler something to do that is educational and will keep him or her entertained? This game provides 36 different game layouts and three themes, which will keep things interesting for the kids. The game will constantly feel different, which is how you keep their attention, of course. Because this is a matching game kids will be working on their concentration, memory, and recognition skills all while having fun. The game is very easy to understand for kids, it features great sound effects, and fabulous graphics.
In the latest update a number of improvements, enhancements, and fixes were made all of which means a stronger and smoother user experience for customers. The app has 4.5 out of five stars from users. Although the app is free to use there are a couple of in-app purchases available for $1.99 each. The app's official iTunes page states its for kids age six through eight, but I have to disagree as younger kids can certainly play this game.
Kids can work their way through the puzzles
Launch the App
When you launch the app the music immediately draws the attention of kids, it's upbeat and fun, which is exactly what you expect from a kids-based app. Kids can start playing right away and I find the puzzles get a bit harder as they work their way through them. The change in the layout adds another element of challenge as it forces them to look at each board in a different way.
The way it works is that you need to clear the board by making matches with the tiles. How can you tell which ones are the free tiles? They are the ones that aren't covered or blocked and it can be moved right or left without another tile blocking its way. If kids find the game a bit difficult at first there is a help mode that you can turn on that enables a light to help them identify the free tiles.
The themes change up all the time to keep it interesting
