Sure there are plenty of high-tech games out there but sometimes you just want to fill that need for something more retro. The LightFields retro puzzles app for your iPod touch, iPad, and iPhone provides users with a challenging puzzle-based game but with a retro vibe.
The puzzles in this top puzzle app use physics so you'll really need to think them through in order to solve them. There is no shortage of levels either so this means you’ve got plenty of hours’ worth of fun ahead of you.

The LightFields app is big on fun, a retro vibe, and some very addictive and challenging puzzle-based gameplay. The app is currently offering players 50 levels to work through but the developer has already promised that more levels will be added.
Your goal here is to make sure that all the empty blocks disappear. It’s your classic puzzle game in that the goal of the game is easy to understand and the game controls themselves are simple and responsive; it’s getting to that puzzle solution that is so difficult.
Now hang on the fun doesn't end there. The game just described is Mission Mode but there is also Arcade mode where you are simply trying to get the most points possible so you can show your friends who the true player is.
The game is free to play and has just been updated with a couple of small fixes. There is also a new achievement in Game Center which can be reached at 10 million points. The app doesn't yet have a customer rating or customer comments.
Taking a Closer Look
When it comes to the gameplay in LightFields app players will need to use physics in order to make sense. The way it works is that you are trying to make at least three blocks touch each other and they all have to be the same color.
You'll be able to get a higher score by making more blocks disappear at once. There are even combos that you can achieve thanks to bonus blocks. By tapping on the screen you will also be able to slow down the speed of the blocks as they fall.
Of course we have to mention what makes this game a retro experience. It's actually a really fun combination of things such as the graphics, the colors used, the look of the game board and the music.
