TiqTiq by appsTapps is a simple little app that allows you to send multiple photos by email, quickly and easily. If you’ve ever tried sending a large file by email chances are you may have run into some challenges. In fact, it’s not unusual to be faced with the dreaded error message that your file size was too large and your email did not go through. With TiqTiq you don’t have to worry about this type of problem as you can send a large amount of photos in one simple email – no more worrying about how many photos you can send in each email. This is a free app and it’s compatible with the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.

Quick Email Transfer of Photos

There are lots of different ways to share photos and other large files between devices and between individuals. Some of the more popular choices are iCloud, Dropbox, and Google’s cloud service, but these services all require you to open up your device to potential vulnerabilities. The advantage of TiqTiq is that you’re not required to set up any file sharing options or activating any always on cloud services. You simply attach some photos to an email, send them to your desired recipient, and you’re off and running.

One of the great things about this app is that the developers have recognized the need to provide their users with clear instructions on how to use it – it’s surprising how rare such a basic feature like this is. Unfortunately in the free version you are limited by the number of Tiq’s you can send and the size of the photos, but more options are available through in-app purchase. There is also the occasional ad to deal with in the free version as well. This app will require 43.8 MB of available space on your iOS device.

The Essentials

When you run the app for the first time you will have to provide it with a valid email address to use for the transfers and you’ll also have to give it access to your photos as well. Once you’ve got past this basic requirement you’ll be provided some basic instructions for using the app and then you can get started. It’s pretty straight forward.

In the main window, you’ll see all the photos that are present on your device, and you can easily scroll through them by swiping down on the screen. To add a photo to the email you want to send you simply tap on it and a checkmark will appear over top of it, you just keep doing this until you’ve selected all the photos you want to include. Once you’re satisfied you just tap on the TiqTiq box at the bottom of the app, select your transfer method, and hit send – it’s that simple. It works great, in one test I sent twenty photos in an email and it was received almost instantly – the photos were fully functional and could be easily save on the new device. This is a pretty powerful tool for a free app.
