FlightRadar24 Pro by Svenska Resenatverket AB lets you see real-time air traffic from around the world.

For someone who has a love of airplanes this app might just be the most amazing thing you have ever downloaded. FlightRadar24 Pro lets you follow the flight paths, view statistics, and find other information on nearly every aircraft in currently in the sky at any given time.

Using the map view you can watch airplanes in the focus area moving in real time and if you select an airplane you can view its flight number, flight path, and several other pieces of information pertaining to that airplane. You can also view photos of the airplane and using the augmented reality you can point your phone at the sky and identify airplanes flying overhead much like in the star gazing apps.

It is also possible to search for a specific airplane or even groups of airplanes meeting your criteria. If you have a loved one who is on a flight you can find and track their flight on your iOS device. Coverage for the aircraft is varied by area and includes 100% for North America, about 95% for Europe, nearly complete coverage for Africa, Oceania, and Asia.

FlightRadar24 Pro was last updated to Version 4.6 on March 18, 2013 and included the ability to share flight information over social media, set preferred search criteria, and improved call sign searches. There have been 21 ratings for the current version with an average score of four out of five stars.

This app is pretty amazing for what it can do. I love the ability to capture information about airplanes as they fly overhead.
