Storm of Magic by Shamrock Games is a game that takes the tower defense genre to whole new heights, with gorgeous visuals and a whole host of different towers, spells, and other magical features.

This game features a campaign mode consisting of 14 levels of increasing difficulty. You will have to come up with increasingly clever strategies to defend against the hordes trying to overrun your tower. Survival Mode, on the other hand, features 4 levels which simply involve trying to survive for as long as you can while the onslaught mounts.

Storm of Magic includes 8 different kinds of upgradeable towers, and a variety of elemental spells that can also be upgraded as you become more powerful and do battle against more than 20 different types of enemies.

Storm of Magic was updated to version 1.0.3 in early-May of 2013. The current version has a total of 168 customer ratings with an average rating of 4.5 out of five stars. Customer reviews have generally been very positive.

Tower defense games have really come a long way and Storm of Magic is somewhere at the top of the heap. What I love about this game is how the levels start of fairly easily, lulling you into a false sense of security, and when things really get touch you must be sure to make use of the spells and upgrades available otherwise you won’t stand a chance!
