Quiz Alarm by Danil Yakovlev is an alarm clock app that promises to wake you up in a way you’ve never been before.
When your set alarm goes off, you’ll be questioned; if you answer correctly, the alarm will turn off. If you get them wrong, you’ll have to listen to the sound until you get it right.
Features of the app include over 200 questions to answer, 12 different alarm sounds to choose, and an easy-to-use interface.
When you set your alarm, you can go into Settings and choose the number of questions you’ll have to answer correctly, the type of questions you’ll be asked, and the difficulty level of the questions. You can get math questions and/or questions with images and you can choose from among easy, medium, and hard questions.
It’s easy to actually set the alarm. You can have more than one alarm going at one time; just make sure you name each one accurately so you can edit as needed.
The app supports 24-hour clock settings.
If you’re a hard waker, you’re going to both appreciate and hate this app from the bottom of your heart. I promise.
Quiz Alarm was updated to Version 1.12 on December 4, 2012. The update made a bug fix. The app doesn’t yet have enough customer ratings for iTunes to display an average.
I tested this app. I had it set to five questions and chose the “Alarm” sound. Let me tell you: it’s LOUD. It’s so loud, I was looking for ways to turn off my phone to avoid it. Even turning the volume down on your device does nothing; the app overrides it. You must answer the questions – and correctly – in order to turn off the alarm. I will never use this app again – mostly because I like waking up in a good mood as opposed to wanting to murder someone. Having said that, if you need an extra boost to get out of bed in the morning, try out this app.
