With the ever-growing love of live sports being driven by wider coverage of events, it’s great that there are now, more than ever, a range of apps with different features for every niche of sport. We are a long way from being stuck with relying on TV schedules to decide what match we get to see or having to wait for the official results before knowing how our team has done. We have already covered many of these apps but here’s a round up of some sports related apps and sites that make following sports much more convenient than ever before. With The Premiership, Champions League and Super Bowl qualifications all happening now, there’s such a need for these apps.

.

One of my favourites is the Where’s the match app. It does more than its title suggests. From all the major football leagues to F1, Rugby and even golf, this app lets you know where and when the TV coverage is. The subscription is a nominal £4.49 a year for everything, which is super value.

.

Having discovered when the sport is and on and what channel, the you’ll need the fuboTV app to watch them all. With more than 30 sports channels, this app ensures you never miss out again on your favourite sport. You can also record the broadcast for later watching should you be busy at the scheduled time. Fantastic.

.

Adding to the excitement are a range of sports betting apps like the bet365 mobile app which covers all the major sports around the world. It has a lot of good ratings in iTunes but we what we like the app in particular is that is being constantly updated. As many app users may know, there are just to many apps that don’t get the development needed to keep them fresh.

.

If, for some reason, you can’t get to watch your sport, then an acceptable alternative is the LiveScore app. With an almost perfect 4.9 star rating from 4,000 users, the apps is great at keeping you up to date on the latest scores with notifications as events happen. What we like is that the developers respond in iTunes to comments left by their users. Always a good sign.

.

Of course, you can’t be involved in sports unless you’re really, really, involved and fan apps like Fancred is perfect with its community style approach for connecting with other like-minded fans. With so many sports covered, there’s a great atmosphere feeling about this app. There’s an almost cult feel going on with some followers.

.

I have all 5 of these apps on my IPhone, and flip between them all as the match progresses
