Introduction
This is a powerful anatomy app for iPhone and iPad that has been designed to work with any DICOM-compatible software, including PACS, medical workstations, and acquisition modalities, enabling you to view and browse through large sets of images through an interactive slider.
In the interest of full disclosure I should probably point out right away that I don’t really know the first thing about DICOM, but I can definitely appreciate the quality of the imagery and the overall efficacy with which this app functions.
This digital imagery app definitely appears to have a predominantly professional application rather than simply being for the layperson, and I think it could definitely prove to be very useful for those of you who are in the appropriate medical profession.

Enjoy Full DICOM Imagery
OsiriX HD is a full DICOM image viewer for iOS that enables you to display and browse through large sets of images through an interactive slider. You’ll also enjoy full functionality for things like zooming, panning, and rotating all of the images.
Other aspects of the images that can be adjusted are the intensity and contrast, plus the app also provides measurement of object sizes using a line measurement tool that can be set and adjusted.
Online Manual is Provided
Also provided is a measurement of image content data using a circular region of interest tool that can be drawn and moved.
The first thing that I would recommend doing when you initially begin using this app is to pay a visit to the online manual and technical specifications, which can be found HERE. This should get you up to speed with the various features in no time at all.

Final Words
I don’t really have much more to say about OsiriX HD because it is a relatively simple iPhone and iPad app which an easy enough purpose to understand.
My experience of this app so far has been very positive, and although I don’t have any use for it in my day to day life I would still very strongly recommend it to any of you who require frequent access to DICOM.
