People Search app review: with over 500 million people
Introduction
People Search is an iPhone and iPad app that has been designed to help you easily track down the details of more than 500 million people, with descriptions, related web links, and loads more powered by Spock.com.
The best iPad apps for finding people
The idea behind this app is great, and I’m fairly familiar with Spock.com having heard of it through the Four Hour Work Week by Tim Ferriss. Unfortunately this app doesn’t really deliver the same caliber of functionality as the actual Spock website so you might want to think twice before downloading it.
Scour Over 500 Million Records
This app has been designed to enable you to search through more than 500 million people by name, email address, location, or tag, with further options for narrowing down your results with handy search filters like age, gender, and so on.

Unreliable result
Minimally Successful
People Search also enables you to share the Spock.com link for any given person with your friends and family online via email, so this might prove to be useful if you’re trying to contact a particularly hard-to-find celebrity.
Best iphone and ipad apps
In a rather disappointing turn of events, this initially promising app seems to have disappointed a lot of users who claim that the search facility provides minimal success at best.
Poorly received
Pros & Cons
Pros
-
Search through more than 500 million people by name, email address, location, or tag
-
Further narrow down your results with handy search filters like age, gender, and so on
-

Cons
-
There have been numerous complaints from people who claim that, quite simply, this app doesn’t work. This might be due to a lack of coverage or a fault in the search engine but either way, I can definitely say that I have had minimal success searching for even slightly obscure celebrities
Best avoided
Final Words
People Search is a little disappointing in my opinion, so I’d suggest considering it but I definitely have my doubts about whether or not it’s going to be worth downloading it onto your iPhone and iPad.
