You can find this trivia app in the Entertainment section of the App Store, where it can be purchased for under a dollar. It will only takes up 4.2 MB of space on your iOS device.

Not For the Faint of Heart

The app interface for iDied is about as simple as it gets, with the main interface consisting of a menu containing eight different categories, including Technology, Fire/Burn/Explosion, Body/Emotions, Eating/Drinking, Freak Accidents, Animals/Nature, Unclassifiable, and Just Plain Stupid.

Within each category is another list with the title of each of the reported deaths. When you tap on any of the titles, you'll be taken to a new page with the story.

At the bottom of the screen you'll find options to share these strange demises with anyone using one of two options: Facebook and Email. The Facebook option posts the story as a status message with a small icon at the bottom that says “via iDied.”

If you choose to email the story over to someone personally, the story will open up on the Mail app where the title of the story will automatically be inserted as the subject line, and the story in the body of the message. Simply add the recipients and tap Send.

This app is completely self-contained, so while you may not be able to share the stories, you can certainly browse through them even if you are not connected to the Internet.
