Pocket Pond 2 app review: carry a pond around with you

There's no need to go in search of a pond to enjoy a little nature thanks to this app. The Pocket Pond 2 app can be used on your iPod touch, iPad, and iPhone and is a fun way to carry around a cute little pond. In this app you will be working to expand your pond by raising, breeding, feeding, and of course interacting and playing with all kinds of Koi. You can really go all out and customize your pond and make it beautiful and unique.

Create Your Own Unique Pond

Here's an opportunity to create your own unique pond that you will get to interact with and enjoy anytime you want. The Pocket Pond 2 app is extremely addictive and once you get started with it you'll find you keep opening it up to play with your Koi. There are literally thousands of Koi that you can collect and then interact with as you touch your screen. Each time you touch the screen/pond the Koi will respond and then swim around and even "bite" your finger. You can check out ponds that your friends have created to inspire you further and continue to make yours unique and beautiful.

While the app is free to play there are a number of in-app purchases which then allow you to buy items for your pond. These purchases range from $0.99 to $9.99. It seems like the app is a big hit with users who have given it 4.5 out of five stars.

Features of Your Pond

There are all kinds of cool features for your pond besides the lovely variety of Koi fish. You'll be able to decorate your pond however you like and add things such as crabs, frogs, hummingbirds, dragonflies, and turtles just as you would see in a real pond. There is a mystery pond that you can fish in and you can even name all your fish/creatures/and the pond itself. You don't need an Internet connection to use the fishpond app, and there are no ads.

Right from the moment you launch the app I find the whole experience very relaxing and definitely will have you feeling as though you are a part of nature. I absolutely love the sound effects from the birds singing to the sound the ripples make as you touch the water. On a negative note the app is rather slow to load, and sometimes it isn't very responsive.
