If you're currently training or just working out by cycling then we've got a tracking tool that may make your rides more effective. The Cycling Log app can be used on your iPod touch, iPad, and iPhone and allows you to keep track of your workouts as well as recovery days. Through this app you'll be able to check out your history when then reveals trends. All of this is done in a very visual manner, which makes the app user-friendly.
The Cycling Log app is meant to be a multi-functional one that allows for easy logging of your rides and recovery days so you can then check out your history and view trends on a calendar. This information is provided in a visual manner making it extremely user-friendly. Logging your cycle could not be any easier or faster because all you have to do is touch on the calendar day. You will be able to record the duration of your ride hours/minutes/seconds, the distance you rode, the effort level of your ride, the type of ride, any notes you'd like to make, group rides, and your recovery days.
The app hasn't been updated in a few years now with its last updates being pretty basic. There were some bug fixes and additional features included but that's it. The app has 3.5 out of five stars and customer comments are mixed. While users find the app easy to use understand for some people it just doesn't have enough tools and features. This is very much a basic logging tool.

A Basic List of Features
While the Cycling Log isn't huge on features what it does offer certainly covers your basics. I feel like this app is ideal for the cycler who isn't taking the training too seriously and is either cycling for fun or for light training. In that regard the tools and features will prove to be more than enough. After you log your cycles an icon then appears on that day on the calendar view. This gives you a really quick look at the amount of times you have been cycling. You can view these totals as a monthly or weekly status.
The summary screen can also prove to be helpful as it compiles all your data such as your notes and entries. If you've set a goal such as being able to ride a set amount of miles within a set amount of time, the summary screen is a quick way to see how close you are to meeting your goal.
