If you have just picked up concert tickets for your favorite artist or band then you're likely pretty pumped and excited. The Concert Countdown app for your iPod touch, iPad, and iPhone will help you count down to the big event in a fun and engaging way. The app lets you customize your countdown and you can even share it with your friends, perfect for making them jealous or getting into the excitement if they're attending with you. Sure, you can just countdown to the concert in the traditional way by watching the date get closer on your calendar, or you can get excited from the moment you get the tickets until you are there in person.
The way the Concert Countdown app works is that you begin by entering in the date of your upcoming concert. It doesn't matter how far off or close it is; you can use the app. It then starts counting down automatically from that moment. Now there are a few things worth noting about this app starting with the fact there are no ads to deal with. You'll be able to enjoy a full-screen countdown without any outside interference. The app also has its own very social and fun design. As mentioned your countdown can be shared with friends and family by SMS, email, Twitter, and Facebook.
The app hasn't been updated in a year and a half now, with its last update addressing some minor bug fixes and issues. The app scores very high, getting four out of five stars from users. The one complaint from users it that it would be great to see multiple countdowns, each on their own screen.

The User Experience
The Concert Countdown app has been made to be very simple. As stated it starts with you setting the date and from there you can add a photo if you like. Choose a photo from your Camera Roll or snap a picture within the app. Below the photo you can add one line or a caption that sums up how you feel about the photo and/or the upcoming concert. You can schedule alerts if you like and they can be sent as often as you decide. There are other alerts too called Special Occasion alerts. These will alert you one day, one week, one month, and one year before the event.
