You've probably seen those games where you need to guess the logo or guess the person, well here's a Halloween take on them as you try to guess the color. The Color Mania app can be played on your iPod touch, iPad, and iPhone and will be testing you when it comes to trivia. Not only are trivia-style games fun and challenging but they are also a great workout for your brain. We often think about how important it is to exercise the different muscles in our body but the brain is also something that should be exercised on a regular basis.
The way the Color Mania app works is that you are making guesses based on colors. There are more than 1,000 well-known icons in this game and you need to complete them by figuring out what color(s) are needed. This is a visual trivia game that will take a look at icons, celebrities, TV show characters, and plenty more. You may think you’re pretty good at trivia but after a few minutes of playing this game you could be singing another tune.
The app has just recently been updated with even more trivia challenges to be found in Halloween Challenge Mode. The app is free to download and play however there are a number of in-app purchases available. These range in price from $1.99 to $9.99. The app scores very high with users who have given it 4.5 out of five stars and have made plenty of complimentary comments.

The Game Experience
A few basics about the Color Mania app include the fact that it supports a few different languages, there are regular free updates, and you can share your high score on Facebook so you can challenge your friends to a high score battle. When you first launch the app there are an unfortunate amount of ads and pop-ups, which is rather annoying. You’ll need to get past these in order to play. From here you can move straight to the gameplay. You are shown a picture/logo/brand/character and your job is to pick the colors that belong in it.
All your game statistics are found at the sides of the screen including the ability to share your high scores. I will say that the screen comes off as quite busy and cluttered and the ad banner across the bottom of the screen certainly doesn’t help matters.

The Color Mania app for your iPod touch, iPad, and iPhone comes across as rather basic in all senses. The graphics, the gameplay, the sounds, everything just feels average but I do think the game can be addictive especially if you’re sharing high scores with friends.
