How many times have you like a photo on Instagram only to wish you could save it to your own device? The Likes app for your iPod touch, iPad, and iPhone helps you solve this problem by allowing you save any Instagram photos that you have liked right to your device's Camera Roll. This is great for those family photos where maybe someone else got the perfect shot, night's out with friends, a birthday party, or even that scenic shot you just love.
While Instagram is a huge hit with people, one of the frustrating aspects is that you can't save anyone else's picture to access on your own device. There's no such thing as using that group shot as your wallpaper or lock screen if you weren't the one to take it. The Likes app successfully addresses this common problem allowing you to save any photo you’ve liked on Instagram to your own Camera Roll. The app is very easy to use; literally all you have to do is like the photo in Instagram then launch the Likes app and you'll see it there giving you the ability to download it to your Camera Roll.
The app is free to use and currently has a very impressive 4.5 out of five stars from users. There are no customer comments at this point. In the app's most recent update there were a number of changes and enhancements including the fact you can now use the app with iOS 8 as well as with the iPad, iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. Other changes include being able to view the app in landscape, photo credit now appears on the photos you save, and there were some minor bug fixes.
Does it Get Easier?
I'm not sure it can get any easier than the Likes app as this is just a couple of steps and you're able to enjoy the photos others have taken. This can even be used as a bookmark tool just do a long press on a photo in order to see it appear in Instagram. I find that this is such a simple offering but it fills a massive need and want that users have. The app is incredibly user-friendly without a bunch of options and tools to clutter the experience. I find this one to be quite addictive because now that you have access to these photos you’ll want to start liking even more.
